Services
at the WorkSource/One-Stop Centers
It is the intent of Core Services to move
individuals into employment using the Work First philosophy
by providing them with the following information or services: |
1. |
Determination
of program eligibility |
2. |
Outreach,
intake and orientation to the information and other services
available through the WorkSource California Centers delivery
system |
3. |
Initial
assessment of skill levels, aptitudes, abilities and supportive
services needs |
4. |
Job
search and placement assistance, and where appropriate, career
counseling |
5. |
Provision
of employment statistics information, including the provision
of accurate information relating to local, regional, and
national labor market areas including:
- Job vacancy lists
- Job skills necessary to obtain the listed jobs
- Earnings, skill requirements for local occupations in demand |
6. |
Program
performance information including program cost information |
7. |
Information
on how the local area is performing on performance measures
and any additional information on the performance of the WorkSource
California Centers system |
8. |
Information
on availability of supportive services for childcare and
transportation, at a minimum, and referral to such services |
9. |
Information
regarding filing for unemployment insurance |
10. |
Assistance
in establishing eligibility for:
- Welfare-to-Work activities
- Local programs of financial aid assistance for training
and
education not funded under Workforce Investment
Act |
11. |
Follow-up
services, including counseling regarding the workplace.
(Participants in Workforce Investment Act activities who
are placed in
employment shall have access to such services for 12 months
after the first day of employment.) |
